I use this book for the "touch" part of my senses unit! The kids love to feel the different animals.
I bought this for my son to bring in his diaper bag to church. I needed more books that he could enjoy and help him sit quietly.My son is 13 months old. He likes this book but I think all the pages are very similar. Many, if not all the pages feel the same, that is all the animals are furry, so every page has some sort of fur, just different colors of fur. Very boring in my opinion. I wish they had animals with scales or something.For the price, I suppose it's not bad. It's small so it's easy to transport and easy for little hands to grab/hold.
Cute and simple baby book. Has rounded edges and made with dense cardboard. Has small little texture spots on animals. My baby is 10 months and has recently started reaching for this book. He did not pay any mind to it in the begining but about 2 months later he has been going through the pages and touching the small fluffy, textured areas. Its a great book to take on the road as he gets enterartained by it for about 20 minutes!
This quickly became a instant fabvorite for my 11 month old twins. The book isvery simple. The pictures are great. They love to interact with the pages. I have memorized the book so as they hold and turn pages I am reciting the words. My twins are teething so since it is cardboard it has teeth marks and bites. If there is a more indistructable medium than cardboard I would suggest that baby books be made of that. Arrived on time, is as decribed, would order from seller again.
This book would be perfect, except it arrived with a sharp and jagged edge. Obviously not safe for a baby. The textured parts are also stuffed so full in the copy I received that the book does not close. Not a huge deal, since it would make it easier for baby to turn the pages, but some might care.I was going to give this as a gift, but not once I saw how it arrived.
This book is very well made, the touch and feel part doesn't shade like other ones I have and the pages are thick and durable.It shows five baby animals, not that many but more than enough for the short attention span of babies and toddlers. When my son was a baby he loved me to read him stories and books like this one and now that he is a toddler he just wants to run everywhere but books like this still keep his attention as in each page there is something to touch and the sentences are not too long/complicated.
Cute little book with really nice textures inside. My kiddo loved it instantly. Only reason I took a star away is because she puts everything in her mouth and this one is starting to peel a little bit at the edges. This happened almost immediately so it's not as sturdy as some other board books but for the price it's great.
My son squeals whenever I open the book. He loves the textures, the colors, aND he loves the rhyming in the book.
My 9 month old daughter LOVES these books. Only problem is that whatever they use for the furry animals makes her completely break out in blotchy hives, and of course she is teething so her hands are instantly all over her face. I had to take a damp cloth with a tiny amount of soap and wipe down all the fuzz. I'm impressed the books held up to my washing. So far that seems to have helped the allergy issue.
