I am an experienced off-loom bead weaver (herringbone, right angle weave, peyote, brick, etc.). I am a fairly young retired person (57), so I decided to learn micro macrame. I wanted to make jewelry as beautiful as my beaded creations. This book fits the bill. I had little macrame experience, and this book walks you through the basics to advanced. It is a good idea to practice macrame basics from You Tube or old books with cheap yarn before you dive into this book; I did and then was quite comfortable with the book afterwards. I have made most of what is in the book with 3 months of concentrated effort. The necklace on the cover is fairly easy and I have made some as Xmas/birthday presents. I also made the gorgeous white bracelet after 2 months of practice. I highly recommend this book if you like learning from books and have the time to dive in deeply.
This is a really different book from what's out there...great instructions and projects.
It's definitely a 5 star macrame project book. It has the project I ordered it for, but I am going to have to upgrade the project for where I first saw it at. It also has the earring project and lots of others for bracelets and earrings.
Good book with very understandable directions and illustrations. Worth getting for the basics.
